Overview
Micronic, a Netherlands manufacturer, builds sample-management systems around barcoded storage: 1D and 2D barcoded tubes and racks, and the readers — handheld to fully automated — that identify them.
Applications
Biobanking and any laboratory where sample identity must survive years of storage and handling: coded tubes are tracked by scanner rather than by handwriting, entire racks are identified in one read, and chain-of-custody is maintained from collection through long-term frozen storage.
